Star Blitz X - Demo Version
Star Blitz X is a 3-D first-person shooter that’s a homage to the 1980s arcade action game genre. The game is intended to test your defensive tactical shooting skills to position, point and shoot your way of defending the Earth of incoming asteroids and missiles launched by the Gargon invasion for one minute.
My contribution to Star Blitz X - Demo Version

I worked as the design director overseeing all aspects of the game’s design, from writing to gameplay and level design.

I worked closely with programmers iterating through gameplay features; three radio stations with soundtrack style, auto fire, camera rotation, bonus round, high score tracker, 9 unique asteroids, time limit, hit accuracy reading, acquiring the eradicator star item, multiple difficulty settings and controller choice.

Designing and prototyping physics based on player abilities to used defensive shooting skills of precise aim and quick reflex within a confine environment.

I was responsible for quest design and the demo’s progression structure.

I worked on balancing and directing development of the character controller; moving left, right, up, down, diagonal and camera behavior.

I wrote all dialogues for the voice announcer & quotas.

I designed and polished the UI front-end, e.g. placement of art assets, font sizes and some 2D animations.

Help design and marketing the team’s webpage.

I organized all play testing sessions (mostly external), collecting and acting upon feedback and recording video material for future reference.

Game design documentation and clear communication of vision to other studio members.
